Dr. Josyann Abisaab
Dr. Josyann Abisaab is a senior attending physician in the Emergency Department at the New York Presbyterian Hospital and faculty of the Global Emergency Medicine Program at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is also a fellow at the Harvard FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, and has conducted human rights research and advocacy in the Syrian refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon. Her current research includes a collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to study health care access among host and refugee communities in Lebanon. Her areas of interest include global health, complex humanitarian emergencies, and refugee protection.
Dr. Abisaab graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center. She is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
