Dr. Haedar Abuirqeba

Dr. Haedar Abuirqeba is a laboratory coordinator & scientist at Weill Cornell Medicine. Prior to this, he was a laboratory manager & senior researcher at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and NYU Langone medical center.

Dr. Abuirqeba was a post-doctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis and earned his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Saint Louis University. He taught at Saint Louis University for five years and was awarded the Graduate Department Excellence in Biology Teaching Award. Dr. Abuirqeba is also an adjunct professor at LaGuardia Community College, where he teaches microbiology.
