Dr. Cecilia Sorensen

Dr. Cecilia Sorensen is the 2017-2018 Living Closer Foundation Fellow in Climate and Health Science Policy – a collaborative training program through the University of Colorado, National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health. She attended Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Denver Health Hospital, Denver, Colorado. She is an author of the Fourth US National Climate Assessment and a contributor to the 2018 US Lancet Countdown Policy Briefing. Research areas include: effects of climate change on human health, global environmental health and strategies for building resilience in vulnerable communities through health education and policy.
